Services

Our early childhood centre has three indoor play/activity rooms. Children have the opportunity to interact with children of their own age for the majority of the day. There is also an opportunity for children to interact with older or younger children when the Centre opens and closes as well as outdoor or gym play time. Outdoor play is available weather permitting.

Additional Support Needs?

We accept children of all abilities in our program including children with additional support needs (ie. Autism, speech/language delays, etc.). We support the principle of serving children and families whose characteristics reflect the surrounding community, including a naturally occurring proportion of children with additional support needs. We are wheel chair accessible as well.

School Aged Children

We walk kindergarten children to and from Buchanan School which is adjacent to Hedges Middle School. French immersion students are bussed to Ecole Voyageur.

Our Staff

All of our staff:

are qualified child care professionals. Two-thirds are trained at a Early Childhood Educator (ECE) II or III level, which means, they have specialized in early childhood development at the college or university level.

attend professional development events throughout the year.

are screened and cleared through a criminal records investigation and child abuse registry check prior to or when first starting a position at the centre.

have up to date Emergency First Aid and CPR training.

Staff turnover at our Centre is low. This means your child benefits from stable, consistent and dedicated care.


